This project is a regional meditation center for the Kagyu Sukha Choling Buddhist Temple. This building is constructed with ICF walls, hydronic heated floors, passive, night purge whole building cooling system. It requires no mechanical cooling with an occupant load up to 150 people.
The framing lumber, finished trim and doors are made out of FSC certified wood.
This Temple is the first new Kagyu Tibetan temple built in the western hemisphere.
Built on a restored wetland, roof drainage enters rain-gardens and bio-swales before entering the wetlands.
